Engine Balancing

Every engine regardless of the application can benefit from balancing.
Engine balancing goes hand-in-hand with performance engine building.
Balancing reduces internal loads and vibrations that stress metal and may eventually lead to component failure, a smoother-running engine is also a more powerful engine.
Less energy is wasted by the crankshaft as it thrashes about in its bearings, which translates into reduced engine vibration, reduced bearing wear, reduced stress on internal and external components and engine accessories and driveline.
  • Crankshafts
  • Machining and fitting of mallory metal.
  • Conrods.
  • Pistons.
  • Flywheels and flexplates.
  • Clutch pressure plates.
  • Harmonic Balancers.
  • Mirror balancing of flywheels, flexplates and harmonic balancers.

Driveshaft & Industrial Balancing

For a smooth vibration free driveline, the universal joints are inspected or replaced and the shaft is checked for dents and run-out.
Balancing of the shaft is achieved by adding weights to the shaft by welding in the appropriate position for a vibration free unit.
  • Driveshaft balancing.
  • Industrial balancing up to 400kg & 3.5m long.
